Japanese

The Meihinten was the leading national exhibition of Japanese viewing stones from its inception in 1961 through 2014. In 2014, the Japanese Suiseki Association began the new Japanese Suiseki Exhibitions at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum and replaced the Meihinten as the premier annual exhibition. The Meihinten continues to be held in the Meiji Shrine in Tokyo. A catalog of each exhibition is published and these catalogs have become important records of outstanding Japanese stones. This is the catalog of the 6th exhibit held in 1966. It is used but in good condition, some damage to back cover.
