“Fishing”
This display by Edd Keuhn consists of an object stone collected in the Sauk River in Washington state and a flatten fragment of petrified wood. The shape of the object stone suggests a kingfisher and the fossil wood a tree branch. The bird is resting on a branch while keenly searching for its next meal. This bird-shaped stone is 15.2 x 3.2 x 3.8 cm and the petrified wood is 15.2 x 6.3 x 10.2 cm. The stones are in the collection of Edd Kuehn.
