Stone Images XV
Text and photo by Edd Kuehn
The North West Viewing Stone Group, headed by Edd Kuehn, staged a successful Stone Images 15 exhibition at the Bellevue Botanical Garden from July 26th through August 3rd, 2025. Forty-five stones and accompanying objects comprised the exhibition. The stones on display were collected by the group’s members in the Pacific Northwest. This is the group’s fifteenth exhibition in the Seattle region. Members of the viewing stone study group were present to answer questions from over 1700 curious visitors. Edd Kuehn presented an illustrated lecture on viewing stones in the garden’s education center on the opening day of the exhibit. Members of this study group are part of the larger Puget Sound Bonsai Association.
This was the first year that the stone exhibition was held at the Bellevue Botanical Garden. Prior exhibits have been at the Pacific Bonsai Museum. The Garden of 53-acres is a cooperative effort between the non-profit Bellevue Botanical Garden Society and the City of Bellevue Parks and Community Services.
