Cascata

This Italian Palombino stone is symbolic of a waterfall slowly cutting into its face. It was found on an excursion in Luguria. The stone, typically grayish colored, was formed between 60 and 140 million years ago in the ancient Ligurian-Piedmontese Sea. Weathered Ligurian Palombino stones are highly regarded for their resemblance to natural landscape features such as mountains and arches.
