"The Trophy"

By Petra Sakis, Cyprus

This is a naturally shaped rock found on a beach in the island of Cyprus. On the front surface of the rock are some small hollows which I filled with five diamond-like buttons. The bottom of the rock was drilled and then mounted on a round wooden base. Finally, a wooden hawk was fixed on the top of the rock. The overall height of the structure is 89 cm. Since it resembles a trophy, I gave it the poetic name “The Trophy.” The stone is 17 cm wide, 60 cm high, and 12 cm deep and weights 14 kg.
