“Poseidon”

By Severa Disingrini

This stone comes from a beach of the Po river in Lombardary. It was displayed at the A.I.A.S. exhibition in Bondeno in 2022 with the poetic name Watatsumi because it reminded me of the god of the sea riding a dragon. With time, I understood that his spirit was closer and that he was an expression of the god of the river from which he came, so I renamed him Poseidon. The stone is 21 cm wide, 23 cm high, and 10 cm deep and rests on wood very close to her. The old wood is corroded and excavated by small animals and sand.
