Stone of the Month:
January 2020
"Window to the World"

This ruggedly beautiful stone from Thomes Creek in Northern California is reminiscent of a plateau high in the mountains overlooking valleys and lower mountain ranges. Standing on this high ledge gives us solitude while also providing a sense of the vastness of nature. Opportunities to steps away from our daily activities and reflect on what is truly important in our lives don’t happen often enough. Viewing stones like this one can help remind us of the value of appreciating the natural beauty that can be found in our lives. This stone, collected by Les Allen, is 25 cm wide, 30 cm tall, and 12 cm deep. It resides in his personal collection.
