Hut stones are typically associated with Japanese Suiseki; however, excellent hut stones are found throughout the world. This attractive hut stone with a natural aged appearance was collected several years ago in the Yuha Desert in extreme southeastern California near the borders of Arizona and Mexico by Les Allen. The appeal of this stones is it suggestiveness, not explicit, form; color; hardiness; and its patina.

This stone is 12 cm wide, 8.5 cm high, 9.5 cm deep and an unaltered bottom. The Japanese style carved wood base was made by Sean Smith. This stone is in the private collection of Les Allen.
